Encouraged to Encourage
Hi Friends! The past few weeks have been interesting. And if I’m being honest, it’s been tough.
I have been going back and forth with myself on how I should talk about things I’m learning on racism and experiences that my family and I have faced, trying to be physically & mentally healthy, how to be the best mom to my kids and the best wife to my husband.
I have expectations that I have met and others that I exceeded. But whenever I’m spending less time with God, somehow falling short of those expectations seem more prevalent. I’m learning that as I am running my own (very) small business. Some areas are still foggy to me, and to others I’m sure, but I know the reason I started this business is to encourage others.
It’s been so amazing how God has been showing up in new ways, new relationships and people who are family. One personal thing I’ll share is through this journey I’m on, I found a cool shop called Willa James with jewelry pieces that are rooted in scripture. I am wearing the “Blessing and Encouragement” piece as a reminder to do what I was created to do; to encourage others. The scripture behind this piece is in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.”
I’m committed to keep going, even when I know little about the process and even if I don’t live up to the expectations I myself, or others, have set before me. I am excited to share with you how others are encouraging the people around them. Be sure to watch my stories (on Instagram) so you can share, follow, like, and support them through their creations and I may even have a discount code or two to share. 😉
Looking forward to continue Heartening Forward with you! 🤍
